Scooby – Senior Project Manager (Self-Promoted)
Scooby takes charge of every jobsite by standing in the middle of everything and supervising with mild confusion.
His management style includes:

- Calling mandatory snack breaks every 12 minutes
- Somehow, things still get done. We don’t know how.
Sparky – Director of Bark-Based Security Systems
Sparky runs security using her highly sophisticated “Bark First, Investigate Never” protocol.
she alerts the team to anything suspicious: a squirrel, a leaf, her own reflection, air molecules, the concept of movement…
She has achieved a 0% intruder success rate and a 112% annoyance rate.
Lyric – On-Site Clean-Up Supervisor / Walking Vacuum
Lyric has one job: eat anything that touches the floor.
Sawdust? Delicious. A screw? Crunchy. An entire sandwich someone left unattended, already gone. Her record for “fastest cleanup” is 0.3 seconds.
We strongly recommend not dropping anything important.
Oscar – Window Specialist & Chief Nose-Print Decorator
Oscar keeps all windows spotless by generously decorating them with artistic nose smudges.
He also conducts important sunlight testing by lying dramatically in warm patches and refusing to move for 4–7 business hours.
If he’s snoring, that window passed inspection.
Harmony – Flooring Guru & Professional Nap Tester
Harmony goes belly-first into her work—literally.
She tests every floor by flopping onto it dramatically and evaluating it for “napability,” “zoomie traction,” and “whether it feels like treats might fall here.”
If you hear zoomies, the floor is approved.
About the Humans Behind the Operation
While our canine crew handles barking, napping, and general chaos, the two humans who keep everything actually running are Tom Allport and Kimberly, the heart and backbone of Coastal Design & Development.
Tom Allport – Owner & Certified Human Wrangler
Tom is the fearless leader of our operation—and the only member of the team legally allowed to touch power tools without supervision.With 40+ years in the construction industry, Tom has built everything from homes to complexes to questionable dog forts that may or may not meet code (the dogs refuse to comment).
He was born in Chicago, moved to California, went to school there, and started building long before the dogs were even a twinkle in the universe’s eye. After mastering construction in both California and Nevada (yes, he’s actually licensed in both—our first clue he’s a real adult), he moved to Florida 15 years ago.
He has been building in Palm Coast ever since, now proudly running Coastal Design & Development, where his days are spent balancing professional craftsmanship with the daily chaos of a dog-run workforce.
Tom does the real building. The dogs just supervise and occasionally eat the blueprints.
Kimberly – Office Administrator, Cheer Captain & Person Who Actually Knows What’s Going On
Kimberly is the bright, shining voice behind the phone, the emails, the schedules, and pretty much every organized thing that happens here.
If Tom builds the homes and the dogs create chaos, Kimberly is the magical force that keeps everything from collapsing into a pile of mismatched paperwork and dog hair.
